Student Poetry: Responsibilities
Responsibilities
weigh
you
down.
They cloud your brain
and then you
feel
down.
When you sit in a class,
doing math,
adding and subtracting,
You go, wait a minute.
That's distracting.
I forgot to feed my dog.
The stove is on.
I don't know for how long,
but I hope my house doesn't burn down.
