FHS Students Serve at GCC Olympics
This afternoon was the 2018 GCC Middle School Olympics at the Cherry Island Soccer Complex. The day was filled with incredibly fun games and events that the kids had an opportunity to participate in. With excitement in the air, the day began by mixing the schools up so that the kids had a chance to play with teammates from other schools. The mixed teams were able to play soccer, run through the obstacle course, compete in intense games of capture the flag, and battle in an acrobatic relay race together. It was awesome to see the sportsmanship displayed by all of our student-athletes and to hear them cheer for one another. The weather was great and the kids had an absolute blast! The Seniors from Futures High school were instrumental in today’s success as they worked closely with me to organize and delegate the whole event.
