Student Voice: Memorable Meal
I believe that our most memorable meals would be when we would gather with family for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc. I think this because we are with our family cracking jokes, laughing, eating and so on. These moments are treasured the most and will be remembered the most.
We all have had our own favorite/ memorable meals throughout our lives. Personally, my most memorable meal was in Rome. I went to Europe for a missionary trip with a group of people from my church. We visited Prague, Germany, and Rome. Throughout our journey, we would preach and hand out pamphlets to the Baptist churches that are nearby. It was a wonderful experience. We tried all kinds of foods. My favorite, by far, was breakfast in Rome. We lived in a hotel and every morning they served breakfast in their cafeteria. The breakfast was quite simple, but it was great. The breakfast consisted of a croissant. They also offered nutella, jam, or some kind of fruit with the croissant. Tea and coffee was also provided. Mornings in Rome was really simple yet filling. Rome overall is very humid and stuffy, but in the mornings, it was cool and cloudy. There was a day when I got the table next to a window. I sipped my warm coffee and ate a nutella croissant while looking through the window to see beautifully formed clouds. It was amazing.
Every one of us have our personal memorable meal. Mine happened in Rome. For that experience, I am thankful. I am blessed.
