For the last robotics competition of the school year, I left from Futures High at the early hours of Saturday with six students to head to Mountain View to compete at one of Google’s campuses. The kids and I were all excited to see what is around there and it did not disappoint.
We knew that we were going to be facing an uphill battle during qualifying matches if we were competing against Silicon Valley schools. There was also a team that flew in from Georgia with an outstanding and unstoppable robot. It was definitely an elite group of robots, but we were excited to take in the sights and learn as much as we could. Unfortunately, we did not make it to the quarterfinals this time around, but the kids enjoyed themselves and definitely liked the free swag from Google.
Once again, thank you to CCCS for the SUV and to everyone else in GCC and Futures who has supported the team. It was a blast and it would not have been possible without everyone’s support. If possible, please affirm the six students:
Besnosov, Philip
