Boys Basketball and Soccer
The boys soccer team played Cristo Rey on Wednesday at Cherry Island. The game was a tense battle between two strong opposing forces. Heading into the half, the Futures Soccer team was up 3-1. In the second half, Cristo rey scored and the score was 4-2. Unfortunately, this lead was cut short when Cristo Rey pushed and score another 4 goals and won the game 6-4. It was a tough defeat but the game showed great potential for the rest of the season.
On Tuesday, the boys basketball team traveled to Forest Hill to play the Wildfires in Auburn. The game was close the whole way and heading into the half, the score was 32-25 in favor of Wildfires. Though there was a touch push for the lead, the Knights were as close as 2 points to tie but unfortunately, the clock ran out and the boys had lost only by one bucket.
Though the week contained losses, it also showed the potential our young guys have. The teams are still trying to recover some skill due to last year’s loss of many seniors.
